TITANIC'S WRECK SITE

Titanic's wreck site is located 963 miles northeast of New York and approximately 400 miles southeast of the Newfoundland coastline.

The Ship lies 12,468 feet below the surface of the sea where the pressure is a tremendous 6,000 pounds per square inch.  When the Ship foundered it broke into two major pieces--the bow and the stern, plus an additional piece from beneath the boiler room.  The bow sank to the seabed relatively intact, while two thousand feet away the stern lies mangled--its poop deck peeled back and flattened.
